With the announcement of our winners yesterday on my Twitter and Facebook, that wraps up the Transmog Tournament for June. It is with great pleasure that I present to you Korla, Ceniza and Cymre as your new champions! It was an incredibly thrilling battle to watch, with the top two continually switching lead. Half an hour before the poll was due to close, they were locked in a tie at 22 votes a piece, before Korla snatched away victory at the last moment. Her reward for a well-earned victory is a Lil’ XT companion pet.
There were 100 voters this time around, and I am absolutely floored by how much support you amazing people are throwing behind these events! Every single entrant deserves to be proud of themselves for the sheer quality of each entry, and once again I am thankful that the burden of choosing the best didn’t fall on my shoulders, as I’d have no idea how to pick the best!
I want to make a special mention of this post by graceful runner up, Ceniza. In an incredibly heart-warming gesture, Matty had this to say:
Ceniza’s ensemble received twenty-two votes, so for every vote I will donate $5 to Neri’s cause. I made the donation to Dry July – point of fact, I don’t think I can promise not to have a cocktail or two–it is summer after all, and though I should clear my head, and it’s a fabulous idea, a cash donation is the best I can manage now.
Words really can’t express how I felt when I logged on this morning to see that post. From the bottom of my heart, and on behalf of everyone who is fighting the good fight against cancer, I thank you for your wonderful generosity!
I’ll be announcing the theme for July very shortly. It’s probably going to be one of the more challenging themes to date, but the reward will be much more impressive to compensate! Stay tuned.
In the month of July, Neri is going sober to raise money for the Dry July campaign. If you can spare even just a few dollars to help make the lives of adult cancer patients a little more comfortable, you can donate to Dry July over on the Concur of Blackrock team profile, or on Neri’s personal profile. Every little bit counts, and donations over $2 are tax deductable. Thank you <3
