I’m sure I’m only one of the 3, 245, 684 sites that will be posting an article about the above cinematic, but oh my that was freakin’ awesome! I had no idea what to expect…actually, scrap that. I honestly expected it to maybe, sorta, kinda not be as epic as Deathwing (Sorry, “Dethling“) tearing shit up, but I think a part of me just likes to see the world burn. So, it surprised me when I really enjoyed what I saw! I got my fix of destruction and fighting, but I also got some great humour, vivid scenery and a sense of greater purpose. What are we fighting for?
High five, Blizzard. I feel good about this, and so far the community seems to as well. At writing this, there were 4,573 likes, 299 dislikes on the Youtube video. Not bad for a Kung Fu Panda knock-off, eh?

It looks awesome, I enjoined the whole video. Blizzard is really building up the ‘War on Azeroth” theme I just hope that they continue it and escalate it in future patchs

Overall: I am still meh, but that’s because I was pretty horrified to learn about the pandas in the first place and I still haven’t come to terms with them yet. Maybe I never will, but I’ll work on my stoic resignation.
It was pretty full on with the masculinity, wasn’t it? I suspect they went with it just to try and crush as much of the “cutesy” reaction to pandas as possible. I have hopes that the Jaina Proudmoore story gives us kick arse ladyfolk something awesome as well.
Pandas were an odd choice, but no more odd than space goats or werewolves I suppose! I am on a PvP server, so I’ll get to kill enough for the both of us

Please kill as many as possible, preferably while they’re doing that damned Carmeldansenthing. I also dislike worgen (except for their AWESOME HATS), but I totally gave draenai a pass even with their T&A broken spine pose because they were purple. PURPLE PEOPLE!
I don’t think I’ll make a panda, at least not until I get overexposed and so have no gag reflex left, kinda like with blood elves.

“NO PLANS FER MOAR FACE TYPES GAIZ” depresses the bejeesus outta me and was actually the Design Choice that broke the Rocket Camel’s back. Seriously? If I’m gonna be a panda, I wanna be a MAD PANDA. Or a sarcastic panda, or a psychotic panda, or SOMETHING. I don’t want a repeat of when, as a troll, I realized that EVERY SINGLE PERSON CHOSE THE SAME FACE. This seems kind of worse because at least with trolls, people could CHOOSE the same face … but with Pandaren, it’s the only option.
I also have to admit that like Worgen, Pandaren are way, way, way too close to “Furries” for me to feel comfortable. But hey, it’s a game – I’ll stick to rolling other races. Let folks do what they want. If they want to be a sameface panda, cool beans. I’ll look at the pretty areas and be happy. I’ll tame new pets for my huntard. I just won’t be a panda.
Okay, that thread with the 10,000 heads was equal parts awesome and eerie! Rage panda is utterly something that they needed to implement. They all just look…spacey? I can’t quite put my finger on it.
I remember being so excited when they were first announced, then beta came along and I lost all interest in them. Worgen are another race I have no interest in, and perhaps it’s for the reason you mentioned, however Goblins were in that list up until recently as well!
The clear solution here is that they need to give Pandas awesome hats
